Winter Canal in Bedwyn
£450
“There is a certain gentleness to a freezing early morning on the Kennet & Avon Canal, when the wood smoke floats up from the narrowboat chimneys. The mist that rises off the water diffuses the light, softening the landscape. This multiple exposure captures the blue of the sky reflecting on the canal surface. I photographed the scene, then rotated the camera through 180 degrees and took the picture again. The images merge to create a reflection of sorts, its asymmetry adding a sense of intrigue.” – Hilary Stock
