Stormy Beach Walk
£450
“I am an ‘off season’ type. I love the wild winter days in Cornwall when beaches are bleak and feel remote. Troubled skies and dark reflections make for an ever-changing landscape, something that seems (oddly) to lift my soul. In places that are more associated with sun cream and sandcastles, I prefer a long, lonesome trudge against wind and tide. It was later, in a boatyard, that I saw this pattern. Suddenly, the old marine paintwork was no longer a simple restoration job, but a salty scene from my favourite stormy beach walk.” – Hilary Stock
